George Godsey, a former Georgia Tech quarterback and alumnus who has spent the past 15 seasons as an ultra-successful assistant coach in the NFL, has returned to The Flats as the Yellow Jackets’ offensive coordinator. Godsey most recently served as the Baltimore Ravens’ tight ends coach since 2022, helping lead the Ravens to three playoff berths, two AFC North Division titles and an AFC Championship Game appearance in four seasons.

No. 12 BYU and No. 22 Georgia Tech will play in the 2025 Pop-Tarts Bowl, Florida Citrus Sports announced Sunday. The game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 27, at Camping World Stadium and will air live on ABC. The contest will mark the fifth all-time matchup between 12th-ranked Cougars (11-2, 8-1 Big 12) and 22nd-ranked Yellow Jackets (9-3, 6-2 ACC) and the first since 2013. BYU has won three of the four previous meetings between the teams.

King Named ACC Player of the Year & Offensive Player of the Year
Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King made history on Wednesday when he became only the fourth Yellow Jacket to ever be named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year. In addition to being Tech’s first ACC Player of the Year since 2008, King was also named the conference’s Offensive Player of the Year. King, Gilmore Earn ACC Honors
Georgia Tech’s Haynes King and Jy Gilmore have been named the Atlantic Coast Conference’s Quarterback and Defensive Back of the Week, respectively, for their performances in the Yellow Jackets’ 27-18 win over Duke. King totaled 325 yards of offense (205 passing, 120 rushing) and Gilmore stuffed the defensive stat sheet with 11 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, a half sack and two pass breakups to help lead Georgia Tech to the victory, which moved the Yellow Jackets to 7-0 for the first time since 1966.
