RHP Zach Maxwell turned in an all-time start, but it wouldn’t be enough as a six-run ninth inning proved the difference maker as Georgia Tech baseball fell 9-6 to top-ranked Tennessee on Sunday night in the Knoxville Regional at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Simpson, Siegel Drive Jackets Past Campbell
RHP Josiah Siegel gave Herculean effort to keep Georgia Tech baseball alive, downing Campbell 16-5 on Sunday afternoon in the Knoxville Regional. After not seeing more than 3.0 innings or 54 pitches during his career, Siegel (2-0) tossed 6.1 innings and 98 pitches, allowing just one run on three hits to both give the Yellow Jackets (36-23) the win and further preserve the bullpen.Show More
Huff Gem Powers Jackets Past Hornets
RHP Chance Huff went seven innings and struck out eight to allow the bats to put Georgia Tech on top 13-4, defeating Alabama State on Saturday and moving on to the next day of the Knoxville Regional. Over the course of a career-high 106 pitches, Huff (5-4) scattered just six hits, primarily in the first inning when the Hornets (34-25) tagged him for two runs.Show More
Yellow Jackets Unable to Match Campbell’s Big Innings
Despite eight runs, Tech baseball couldn’t overcome two big innings from Campbell, falling 15-8 on Friday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. The Yellow Jackets (34-23) trailed 5-0 after the second before scoring two runs in the next two innings. The Fighting Camels (41-17) tacked on five in the sixth to extend the lead, but Tech never gave up, scoring six runs in the final four innings.Show More
