In picture perfect weather on The Flats, Georgia Tech baseball combined lockdown pitching with red-hot bats to take the series in a big way, downing Clemson, 16-3, on Saturday afternoon at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium. Georgia Tech baseball couldn’t grab the big hit when it needed it, falling 8-5 to Wofford Tuesday at Mac Nease Baseball Park at Russ Chandler Stadium. The Yellow Jackets (14-7) stranded 16 runners, including 4 innings ending with bases loaded, while finishing 3-for-14 overall with runners in scoring position. Georgia Tech plated three in the fourth to take a lead, but eventually fell 9-3 to No. 2 Louisville on Sunday afternoon at Jim Patterson Stadium. The Yellow Jackets (14-6, 3-3 ACC) were held to just seven hits overall in the back-and-fourth affair, while the second-ranked Cardinals (17-2, 2-1 ACC) finished with 13 hits.
