Baye Ndongo just missed a triple double with 12 rebounds, 10 points and 8 assists, and Georgia Tech erased its deficit to take the lead in the second half, but could not secure the road victory, falling at California, 90-85, Wednesday. Hot shooting from the Golden Bears allowed the home team to open a double-digit lead in the first half as Cal shot 50.0 percent in the opening 20 minutes. Georgia Tech Comes Up Short Against No. 16 UNC
A season-high 27 points from Baye Ndongo wasn’t enough as Georgia Tech men’s basketball fell to No. 16 North Carolina by a final score of 91-75 on a snowy Saturday afternoon inside a sold-out McCamish Pavilion. The Yellow Jackets (11-11, 2-7 ACC) battled throughout the second half but couldn’t overcome a 15-point deficit from the opening 20 minutes, dropping the final contest of January.

Hokies Escape Jackets, 71-65
Georgia Tech used a 17-4 run over five minutes to climb back within two points, but the Yellow Jackets could not pull out the road victory, falling at Virginia Tech, 71-65, Tuesday night in Cassell Coliseum. Baye Ndongo joined the 1,000-career points club in the outing and was one of four Yellow Jackets to finish in double figures. The Yellow Jackets converted 43.9 percent (25-57) of its field goal attempts, but hit only 3-of-17 three-pointers.

Second-Half Surge Lifts No. 18 Clemson Over Tech
Tech’s Kowacie Reeves Jr. led all scorers with 19 points but a second-half surge lifted No. 18 Clemson to a 77-63 win over the Yellow Jackets Saturday at McCamish Pavilion. Another stellar performance by Reeves was a highlight for the Jackets. The senior sharp-shooter made 8-of-16 shots from the field, including three 3-pointers, to account for his game-high 19 points and 12th-straight outing in double-figures.

Jackets Upend Wolfpack in 78-74 Road Win
Men’s basketball led by as many as 8 points and held off a disruptive NC State team for a 78-74 road win on Saturday. Kowacie Reeves Jr. led Tech with 21 points, while Jaeden Mustaf recorded his first career double-double and 4 Yellow Jackets finished in double-figures. Georgia Tech shot 51.9% (27-52) from the field and connected on 10 three-pointers for the second time in ACC play this season.

Tech Falls to Hot-Shooting Pitt
Kam Craft scored 14 points – his third-most as a Yellow Jacket – but it wasn’t enough for Georgia Tech to overcome a hot-shooting Pitt in an 89-66 loss to the Panthers on Wednesday night at McCamish Pavilion. Craft made 5-of-8 shots from the field, including 4-of-6 from 3-point range, good for his highest scoring output since the opening month of the campaign, and just three points shy of his season high of 17, set on Nov. 14 at Georgia.
