Transfer Duncan Powell To Join Georgia Tech Men's Basketball
Duncan Powell, a 6-8 forward who played last season at Sacramento State, has signed a grant-in-aid to join the Georgia Tech men’s basketball program, head coach Damon Stoudamire announced. He will have two seasons of eligibility with the Yellow Jackets. Formerly a top-100 high school prospect, Powell was the Hornets’ top scorer (12.1 points per game) and rebounder (7.0 per game) last season.

Tech to Visit Oklahoma in SEC/ACC Men's Basketball Challenge
Georgia Tech men’s basketball will visit Oklahoma in the second SEC/ACC Men’s Challenge, with the game taking place Tuesday, Dec. 3, at the Lloyd Noble Center in Norman, Okla. The SEC/ACC Men’s Challenge will take place over back-to-back days Tuesday, Dec. 3 and Wednesday, Dec. 4. The Challenge events will feature games across ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ACC Network and SEC Network.

Transfer Ryan Mutombo to Join Georgia Tech Men’s Basketball
Ryan Mutombo, a 7-2 center from Atlanta who played the last three seasons at Georgetown, has signed a grant-in-aid to join the Georgia Tech men’s basketball program. He will have one season of eligibility with the Yellow Jackets. Mutombo attended The Lovett School in Atlanta before signing with the Hoyas, and is the son of former Georgetown and Atlanta Hawks great Dikembe Mutombo.

Transfer Luke O’Brien to Join Georgia Tech Men’s Basketball
Luke O’Brien, a 6-8 wing player, who developed into a key member of the rotation at Colorado the last three years and helped the Buffaloes to four post-season appearances, has opted to use his extra season of eligibility granted by the NCAA for the 2020-21 COVID season as a fifth-year player at Georgia Tech. O’Brien played in 111 games in four seasons with the Buffs, averaging 6.7 points with a .456 field goal percentage.

Baye Ndongo Withdraws From 2024 NBA Draft, Will Return to Tech
Georgia Tech basketball received some huge news today. After declaring for the 2024 NBA Draft, but maintaining his collegiate eligibility, Georgia Tech freshman Baye Ndongo has withdrawn from the draft and will return to Atlanta to play another season under Damon Stoudamire. This is massive news for the Yellow Jackets program. Ndongo was arguably the best player on Georgia Tech's team last season.

ACC Announces 2024-25 Opponents in Men’s Basketball
New Atlantic Coast Conference members California and Stanford will visit McCamish Pavilion in the 2024-25 season, while the Yellow Jackets will travel to face SMU, as part of its conference-wide schedule model for next season accommodating the league’s three new members. Georgia Tech maintains its two permanent home-and-away partners, Clemson and Notre Dame.
