But Tech Falls to FSU
Four Tech guards scored at least 15 points, but Florida State’s rebounding advantage proved to be the difference in the Yellow Jackets’ 80-71 loss to the Seminoles Saturday at McCamish Pavilion. Florida State outrebounded Georgia Tech, 44-34, which led to an 18-4 edge in second-chance points and a 38-14 advantage in points scored in the paint. The Seminoles also had a 17-2 edge in fast-break points.

Louisville Cruises to 87-70 Victory Over Georgia Tech
Four Yellow Jackets finished in double-figures at No. 21/21 Louisville, but the Cardinals maintained their lead for an 87-70 victory on Saturday afternoon in KFC Yum! Center. Baye Ndongo led the Jackets with 17 points, while Cole Kirouac secured a game-high 11 rebounds. Georgia Tech kept a close eye on Louisville in the early going before the Cardinals opened a double-digit lead in the first half.

Virginia Downs Men's Hoops
A lights-out shooting performance in the first half spurred No. 14 Virginia to a 94-68 win over Georgia Tech men’s basketball on Wednesday night at McCamish Pavilion. Virginia (23-3, 11-2 ACC) shot a red-hot 56.4% from the field in the opening half, including a scorching 55.6% from 3-point range, and led by as many as 35 points en route to a 59-27 halftime advantage. Georgia Tech (11-16, 2-12 ACC) suffered their eighth-straight defeat.

Hot Shooting Pushes Notre Dame Past Tech
Four Yellow Jackets finished in double-figures, but it wasn’t enough as Georgia Tech lost 89-74 at Notre Dame on Saturday. Baye Ndongo logged a double-double by the end of the first half and Kowacie Reeves Jr. led the Jackets with 16 points. Hot three-point shooting from the Fighting Irish allowed Notre Dame to build a double-digit lead as the home team went 11-for-19 from beyond the arc in the first 20 minutes.

Second-Half Surge Pushes Wake Past Tech In 16 Point Difference
Georgia Tech’s Kowacie Reeves Jr. and Baye Ndongo combined to score 32 points on 13-of-21 shooting, but the rest of team made just 28.9% of its field-goal attempts (13-of-45) in an 83-67 loss to visiting Wake Forest on Wednesday night at McCamish Pavilion. Shooting was the difference, as Wake Forest made 52.8% of its shots from the field (28-of-53), while the Yellow Jackets shot just 39.4% (26-of-66).

Jackets Fall at Stanford, 95-72
Akai Fleming led Georgia Tech with 19 points and was one of three Yellow Jackets in double-figures, but it was not enough as Tech lost 95-72 at Stanford Saturday in Maples Pavilion. Fleming and Jaeden Mustaf combined for 16 points in the first half as the Yellow Jackets and Cardinal worked through seven lead changes in the opening 20 minutes. Tech shot 55.2 percent (16-29) in the first half and saw offensive production from seven different Jackets.
