Georgia Tech Closes Out Successful Penn Relays
The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams concluded its final outing of the 2026 Penn Relays with a fourth-place finish in the women’s 4x800m relay race on Saturday afternoon. Claire Shelton opened the race for the Jackets; the sophomore set the early pace for the squad at 2:14.88 and kept Tech in the top 10 at the first exchange. This marked Shelton’s first collegiate outdoor relay race and her shortest distance this season.

Tech Racks Up Five Podium Finishes on Senior Day
Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field earned multiple podium finishes and conference marks on the final day of the Georgia Tech Invitational. Junior jumper Kendall Ward cleared the 1.67m and 1.72m jumps with ease on her first attempts before landing the 1.75m mark on her third and final try. She faced the 1.78m mark and on her second attempt she cleared the bar and crashed down onto the cushion to win the event.

Tech Finishes Out Pepsi Florida Relays
The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams completed the final day of the Pepsi Florida Relays on Saturday afternoon. Lottie Chappell set a personal best in the 800m with a 2:06.65 to place 25th overall in the highly-competitive field. She finished within 0.22 seconds of a top-five program time and led Tech with senior Gracie Marston running a 2:09.76 while Stella Chambless also set her PB at 2:12.40.

Tech Records Eight Podium Finishes in Yellow Jacket Invitational Finale
The Georgia Tech men’s and women’s track and field teams closed out the Yellow Jacket Invitational with 8 top-three finishes on Saturday. The second day of competition opened with all the remaining field events including the women’s triple jump. Adaora Tagbo stomped out a 12.31m jump in her first effort before repeating the exact distance again in the following attempt.
