The Michael K. Anderson Building, the newly renovated day-to-day home of GT track & field/cross country, was officially unveiled to the teams on Wednesday. The Anderson Building is located adjacent to McCamish Pavilion, directly across Fowler Street from Georgia Tech’s George C. Griffin Track.

Women Finish 10th, Men Finish 11th at ACC Championships
Tech cross country recorded a 10th-place finish in the women’s 6K and 11th in the men’s 8K race Friday at the 2022 ACC Championships. The women’s team finished with 240 points, 14 points behind 9th place Wake Forest. The men totaled 319 points, 27 points behind the Pitt.

Women Place First, Men Take Second at Berry Invite
Georgia Tech cross country concluded the weekend of competition at the Berry Invite with a first-place finish in the women’s 6K and a second-place finish in the men’s 8K race. Ashley Sechrest led the women to a team win with a third-place time of 22:37.29. Cole Miller was the top runner for the men.

The Georgia Tech cross country teams will split the weekend with competition at the Lehigh Paul Short Run on Friday, Sept. 30 in Bethlehem, Pa. and at the Alexander/Asics Invite on Saturday, Oct. 1 in Fairburn, Ga. Liz Galarza and John Higinbotham led both Tech cross country teams to impressive third-place finishes on Friday at the North Alabama Showcase. Galarza placed fourth out of 384 runners in the women’s 5K race with a personal-best time of 16:38.96.
