Jackets Conclude Day Three of NCAA Prelims
GT track & field has concluded day three of the NCAA East Prelims. The events for Tech included the men’s 3000m steeplechase and the 4×400 relay. John Higinbotham finished the race with a time of 9:03.57. The relay team comprised of Jamerson Miller – Sidney McReynolds – Caden Terrell and Winston DeCuir III competed in the men’s 4×400 relay.

Wilson, Troupe Advance in Day Two of NCAA Prelims
Georgia Tech track and field concluded day two of the NCAA East Prelims. Ameia Wilson and Lydia Troupe were standouts on day two as they both advanced in their respective events. In the women’s long jump, Wilson jumped a mark of 6.26 meters (20-6½). Wilson’s seventh place finish automatically qualifies her a spot to compete at the NCAA Championship in Oregon.

Yellow Jackets Conclude Day One of NCAA Prelims
Georgia Tech track and field’s Cameron O’Neal kicked off competition for the Jackets in the men’s long jump. O’Neal jumped a mark of 7.37m (24-2¼) finishing in spot No.21. Coming into competition today, the junior was ranked 17th in the nation. The Jackets return to action tomorrow with Ameia Wilson, Anna Witherspoon and Lydia Troupe.

Tech Track & Field Coach Grover Hinsdale Announces Plans to Retire
Entering his 46th year with the Georgia Tech track and field program and 32nd as the head coach of the men’s team, Grover Hinsdale announced Wednesday that he will retire at the end of the 2024-25 academic year. He was named Atlantic Coast Conference Indoor Coach of the Year in 2002 and 2008 and has coached three Olympic gold medalists.
